Well last night was a surprise! At the last minute we arranged a dance out at The Foresters Arms in Colchester, even though we were expecting to be somewhere else, and with the worry that we wouldn’t even have enough dancers!
In the end, we had plenty of dancers, the rain held off, and there was even an audience. Paul, newly arrived home from his bimble around the country only slightly marred by poor weather, played as usual with all the skill and verve we love; Bridget was still breathless from her made dash home from Canterbury, but we had a really good evening.
Thank you, Barbara and all at The Foresters, for the warm welcome, as always.
Next dance out at New Town Open Gardens on Sunday 2ny June. We’ll be at The Artilleryman at 1 pm, Canterbury Road at 2.15, Myrtle Grove at 3 and finish at The Odd One Out from 4.30. Hope everyone can join us for some more fun with bells on as well as some lovely loved gardens. There will also be guided tours of New Town, scarecrow competition, plant and tool swap, and other music and choirs.
The weather promises to be kind to us for a change so see you all there!
